Aquarius (the Water Bearer) 20 January - 18 Feburary

Aquarius is an Air sign with a fixed quality. People with a strong Aquarius influence in their charts have original ideas, but they're often too fixed on their ideas, and therefore can be inflexible and uncompromising. Water bearers appreciate friendship and prefer not to be in intense emotional relationships. They are able to retain a friendship despite major differences of opinion with their partners. Their best matches are people with strong Air and Fire influence in their charts.

Aquarius with Pisces : A complex relationship between an Air sign and a Water sign - the eternal conflict between emotions (Water) and intellect (Air). Intimacy is a difficult issue for Aquarius, and he may be too much in his head for the sentimental Pisces who thrives on passion and the feeling of connectedness.

Aquarius with Aries : A good combination between Air and Fire elements. Although Aries is self-centred and Aquarius is a philanthropist caring about human well being, the Water Carrier is able to handle the Ram's ego with humour.

Aquarius with Taurus : Not a promising relationship in the long run. A combination between an Air sign and an Earth sign always has friction. Although both have the fixed quality in their sign, Taurus is looking for emotional stability and tends to collect material assets, while Aquarius values mental assets and can be fixed on his ideas and opinions.

Aquarius with Gemini : A nice rapport between these two Air signs. Expect good communication, stimulating conversation and an exciting exchange of ideas. A great potential for a friendship, but emotionally they'll find it hard to share intimate moments. They're just too much in their heads.

Aquarius with Cancer : Another Air and Water pair that just doesn't mix well. The Water Bearer is too casual and too outgoing for the serious and introverted Crab. Aquarius wants to spill out everything and right now. Cancer is cautious and calculating and will never show his real feelings in the company of other people.

Aquarius with Leo : These are opposite signs on the zodiac wheel and as such are quickly attracted to each other. However they'll have their share of conflicts just as all opposite signs have. In the case of this Air and Fire opposites, Aquarius will not easily accept the rule of his majesty the Lion, and the affectionate Leo will not easily accept the cold and indifferent attitude of the Water Bearer.

Aquarius With Virgo : Air and Earth can communicate well in this case only on the intellectual level, since Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. Other than that they don't share much. Virgo is quite conservative, and Aquarius is a non-conformist. Both like to help the human kind, but each in a different way: Virgo will lend its excellent technical skills to his neighbours while Aquarius will organize fund raising events where he can express his original ideas in public.

Aquarius with Libra : Good potential for a rewarding relationship between these two Air elements who share an unconventional approach to life. However Libra excels in a one-on-one relationship while Aquarius is good in group communication. Libra seeks intimacy while Aquarius is afraid of it. This may be the reason why a long term relationship may be impossible. But they will make great friends.

Aquarius with Scorpio : This won't work. Scorpio is a loner, secretive, and intense by nature. Aquarius needs constant social contact, has no secrets and is afraid of a deep emotional involvement. These air and water signs may be attracted to each other initially but they are too different from each other to create a long lasting bond.

Aquarius with Sagittarius : This works! Air and Fire elements in their best. Both are independent, creative and fun loving.   Both need personal freedom, are honest, courageous and open, and will say what's on their mind. This makes their communication really good, mentally, physically, and even emotionally as the affectionate Archer injects warmth into the relationship.

Aquarius with Capricorn : Another difficult combination between Air and Earth. The Water Bearer's unorthodox behaviour may drive crazy the conservative Capricorn, especially when it comes to money matters. Their spending preferences are so different: Capricorn is very cautious while all Aquarius needs is just (what he perceives as) a good idea to invest their money in.

Aquarius with Aquarius : Two Water Bearers will understand each other's casual approach to life, and be quite happy together sharing many mutual interests, but what kind of a relationship can be expected from two people trying to avoid intimacy?... They'll make best friends, but for romance and deeper connection, please choose another air sign, or better, a fire sign...
